TRUE welcomes Leilani Farinas! (January 2022 Newsletter)

The TRUE committee is thrilled to introduce you to Leilani Farinas, our new executive director.

Leilani stepped in as executive director earlier this month and is excited about the impact she’ll have in the role saying, “It was put in front of me, and I just had to take it. It’s a great opportunity to advocate for technology as a platform for a sustainable and diverse economy for Hawaii.”

Leilani joins TRUE as a marketing and communications executive with more than 20 years of expertise in global and domestic go-to market strategies driving awareness, growth, and revenue. She was previously Vice President, Marketing, NBCUniversal, leading the global marketing and communications strategy for the company’s lifestyle content and digital brands—E!, Bravo & Telemundo—driving growth & expansion outside the US. She holds a BA in English Literature from Loyola Marymount University and is a proud Moanalua High School graduate.
